Halwa is one of the well-known sweetdish in Indian families. Whatever occasion it will be doesn’t matter there will be one or other sweet used to prepare. Halwa is most common sweet in maximum Indian kitchen. Halwa used for offering as prasad also. There are many variations of Halwa Such as Suji Ka Halwa, Lauki Ka Halwa, Moongdaal Halwa, Ate ka Halwa(A.K. Kada Prasad or Wheat Halwa)..Etc. As India is multi lingual as well as multi communal country so Suji ka Halwa is also known as in multiple names in different parts of India. Such as in Maharshtra it’s called as Sheera, in Gujrat it’s known as Lapsi, In South India it’s known as Kesari Bhath.
About Suji Ka Halwa:
The ingredients for Suji ka Halwa is very simple the only thing
needs to keep in mind is the proportion while preparing any Halwa. In this
desert we require only Ghee, Suji(Semolina or Rava), Sugar, Milk,
Dryfruits(Cashew, Almond, Pista)again it depends upon the availability and some
cardamoms for the flavour. The proportion should be 1:1:1:1. The first step is adding
the milk with suji mix it well then keep it to rest for at least 1 hr. so that the
halwa will be soft n well cooked. As it is easy to prepare, it is often
favoured as a breakfast especially with pooris or dessert item, in most of the parts
of India. This dish is known to have several health benefits.
